How family law applies to your school

A recent survey of The Educator readers found that navigating family law issues remains the number-one challenge facing leaders in Australia’s schools.

State and Federal laws are often complicated by feuding parents and it is imperative for school leaders to manage these situations delicately whilst remaining legally compliant.

Annabel Murray, Head of Family Law at Australian Family Lawyers will be giving a presentation on how family law applies to schools at the upcoming Education Law Masterclass.

The session will cover State vs. Federal jurisdiction and family law, how to manage issues of consent, AVO situations and information sharing for feuding parents, information on the separation process, what different orders mean for schools and how to break down a court order into plain English.
