BIANCA BRAMALL

Relieving assistant principal
Fowler Road School (NSW)

Bianca Bramall began her career in education in 2006 at Fowler Road School, a school for specific purposes, as a school learning supporting officer. In 2016, she became part of the leadership team as assistant principal and has filled the role of relieving principal when required this year.

In 2017, Bramall has worked alongside the principal to examine the elements of the school excellence framework; to identify the direction of the school in relation to the three domains of learning, teaching and leading; and to involve herself in school budget planning and the annual school reporting process. Her professional relationships are said to have resulted in strong networking links and a customer focus that has positively impacted on student learning and wellbeing.

Bramall provides support to early-career teachers at Fowler Road School as well as other local schools, mentoring those teachers to develop a clear direction and set meaningful and appropriate professional goals. She has worked diligently to improve the school’s induction support for beginning teachers by implementing the ‘Strong Start Great Teachers’ resource. According to a colleague, Bramall has created a culture in which staff members are receptive to new ideas, adaptive to change, results-driven, and have a clear, defined direction. Additionally, she engages in professional development herself in order to stay up to date with her pedagogy.
