Most recently, Sue Thompson has been managing the OECD’s study on social and emotional skills, a new research which was implemented in 2018 in 10 cities internationally. Thompson, who was a classroom mathematics teacher prior to joining ACER in 1998, is also an experienced researcher who specialises in quantitative analysis methods. She has led analysis and reporting on large scale and longitudinal data sets for which she has been widely published and was also co-investigator on the Australian Child Wellbeing Project.
