Rachelle Buchbinder is the director of the Monash Department of Clinical Epidemiology, a professor in the Monash University department of epidemiology and preventive medicine, and an Australian NHMRC senior principal research fellow, whose work as rheumatologist and clinical epidemiologist
combines clinical practice with research in a wide range of multidisciplinary projects relating to arthritis and musculoskeletal conditions. She has recently been recognised as a 2020 Officer of the Order of Australia for distinguished service to medical education in the fields of epidemiology and rheumatology, and to professional associations.
