St Margaret's Berwick Grammar

St Margaret’s Berwick Grammar School is a non-denominational school. The school operates a unique ‘Diamond’ education model with co-education through ELC to Year 6, before providing single gender education of boys and girls on dedicated campuses.

The school has a strong reputation for developing the academic, artistic, adventure and athletic capacity of all students and focuses on 'empowering young women' and 'growing good men' through The Arts, STEM, Global Citizenship and Leadership and Character development.

The girls' school, based on our Berwick campus, was founded in 1926 while the boys' campus, opened in Officer in 2009. While the school operates across multiple campuses the community is strongly connected and our ethos encourages students to live their lives through the School values of Courage, Curiosity, Character and Respect.

A large range of curricular and co-curricular activities including extensive music, science, technology, leadership, sporting and global citizenship programs enable all students to meet and work together, while still enjoying all the benefits of a single gender secondary education.

Our excellent team of caring teachers guide and inspire students to work hard to achieve their goals which is support by a comprehensive array of digital learning tools, which include our laptop and iPad program. NAPLAN and VCE results are consistently high, ensuring that our students have the opportunity to maximise their potential and seek a fulfilling tertiary pathway or career.
