Education Awards category spotlight: Schools

The inaugural Australian Education Awards will be held in Sydney this August to recognise the outstanding work of Australia’s best schools, principals, teachers and department heads.

There are 22 categories currently open to nomination – 10 of which are dedicated to recognising the top-performing schools of the past 12 months.

The school specific awards are:

Primary School of the Year – Government
Primary School of the Year – Non-government
Secondary School of the Year – Government
Secondary School of the Year – Non-government
Boarding School of the Year
Regional School of the Year
Special Needs School of the Year
Best School Strategic Plan
Best Student Wellbeing Program
Best Professional Learning Program

The Educator urges all schools across Australia to enter in the relevant categories before the entry deadline of Friday 23 March.

The gala-style event will be held at Dockside, Sydney on Friday 17 August.
