The inspirational and tireless work being done by Australia’s higher education’s leaders cannot be understated, and has provided us with the pleasure of highlighting the change that the profession has driven across the education sector.
While not every education story to hit the front pages has been positive, there is far more to celebrate in Australian education than frown upon.
In June, seven Australian universities were named among the world's top 100, highlighting the growing strength of the nation’s higher education sector. A month later in July, the 16th annual ranking of the world’s top ‘young universities’ was released, with nine Australian universities making the top 50.
In September, The Educator revealed 30 higher education game-changers who are going above and beyond to have a game-changing impact on Australia’s higher education landscape in the 2019 Hot List.
There is no doubt that in 2020, Australia’s higher education professionals will continue to hold a high place in the global community that is driving cutting-edge research, innovation and positive change around the world.
