Tim began teaching in his home town of Sydney after a number of years working in the property industry. Deeply motivated by the value of people, he is passionate about building healthy communities and understands the vital role that local schools play in helping people and communities thrive.

His perspective, vision and passion as an educational leader have been informed by a wide variety of roles and contexts. These included CEO responsibilities of a remote Aboriginal community in Western Australia and teaching roles in London, Thailand and Sydney. Tim now resides in the Hunter Valley region of NSW where he has invested his skills, insight and expertise towards the development and improvement of two Prep - Year 12 independent schools.

Prior to taking on the principal role at ACC Singleton, Tim was the inaugural Head of Senior School at St Philip's Christian College in Cessnock, a role he held for 8 years. During this time, he successfully added Years 9 to 12, including overseeing the first graduating HSC students and was instrumental in securing and establishing a Trade Training Centre onsite.

In his six years as Principal at ACC Singleton, the College has tripled its enrolment, added Years 11 & 12 programs, established a whole-school approach to teaching and learning, introduced a whole-of-community approach to wellbeing, and secured the schools' reputation as a top academic performer in the region.

Tim attributes the impressive transformation of his current school community to the outstanding people on the team at ACC Singleton, each of whom has been inspired by the vision of creating a high performing professional culture and healthy school community. He completed his undergraduate degree at Macquarie University, holds postgraduate qualifications in Human Resource Management and is currently completing further postgraduate study.

A man of deep personal faith, Tim is passionate about building strong teams who contribute their unique strengths to bring about significant change. Tim and his wife have 3 active boys. His family enjoy playing a range of sports and travelling.
