Celebrating their fifth year the “New Voice” Scholarships represent ACEL’s 10 Year and $300,000 commitment to recognising and supporting the emerging voices in educational leadership across Australia.

This year 20 scholarships will be awarded across four categories:

Category 3: The “New Indigenous Voice” in School Leadership
This scholarship recognises impressive new indigenous voices in educational leadership with up to four scholarships available nationally.

Category 4: The “New Voice” In Education and Care
This scholarship recognises impressive “new voices” in early education and care from each state and territory of Australia. This scholarship is a joint presentation between ACEL and ACECQA.

"The New Voice Scholarships continue to be one of the highlights of the ACEL calendar and something we remain extremely proud of as organisation," ACEL CEO, Aasha Murthy, said.

Murthy said the Scholarships, now in their fifth year, have brought together "an outstanding array of emerging educational leaders who have gone on not only to remain an integral part of ACEL but also as respected leaders in their areas of education".

"We look forward to welcoming the class of 2019 to share “their voices” and join our family of respected and deserving recipients over the last five years," she said.

The New Voice Scholarships are now open for submissions with closing date of May 30th 2019.

Winners will be announced this July with a formal awards ceremony being held as part of ACEL National Conference 2019 on October 3rd.
