Liam Auliciems, an advocate for pre-service and beginning teachers in Australia, has established PRAC-E Education to put an end to “teacher drought.”
From hosting the initiative’s very first teacher symposium event at QUT in 2017 to 400+ teachers, Aucliciems continues to spark collegiality within the Australian beginning teacher community, through PRAC-E symposiums and its digital media, such as Talkin' Chalk, Kafoople Land, iTeach with Amy, and Ed. Advice. Auliciems’ advocacy for beginning teachers has extended to a nationwide feature on the primetime ABC News, and special guest appearances on education podcasts in the US and Australia. As an academic researcher at QUT, Auliciems has helped create TeachConnect, an Australian online community building tool to support beginning teachers.
