OLIVER MADDISON

It’s been only three years since Oliver Maddison began his teaching career at Kingswood College in Box Hill near Melbourne. When he first arrived as a pre-service teacher in the school’s physical education department, Maddison showed all the hallmarks of a dedicated and personable professional, and his capacity to work with a diverse range of learners and age groups left his Kingswood superiors in no doubt as to the extent of his potential to be a fine educator.
This year, Maddison has taken on the responsibility of Year 9 coordinator, as well as continuing to teach his middle school and senior classes. Since joining Kingswood College’s staff, Maddison has impressed with his organisational aptitude and his application of pedagogy to bring out the best in his students. He’s keenly taken on a number of opportunities for professional growth, and his work with students in a number of age ranges is said to have won him the admiration and respect of the student body – accolades he’s received with humility and gratitude.
