There are people in education who change how the work gets done — the teacher who turns a struggling classroom around, the leader who builds a system that actually works, the support staff member who keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
If someone like that comes to mind, now is the time to put their name forward for Hot List 2026. Nominations close on Friday, 3 July, so don't wait too long.
So much great work in schools goes unnoticed simply because it happens quietly — in daily practice, steady leadership and consistent effort rather than big, visible moments. Hot List 2026 is a chance to change that and give well-deserved recognition to the people who make schools better every day.
Who can be nominated
Nominations are open to anyone in a K-12 role, including teaching, leadership, specialist and support staff, as long as they have 10 or more years of experience in education. Whether it's a classroom teacher, a school leader or someone behind the scenes, if their impact deserves to be seen, this is the moment to make it happen.
How to enter
Entering is simple and free:
- Complete your entry before nominations close
- Entries must be submitted by Friday, 3 July
- Open to all K-12 roles with 10+ years' experience
Hot List 2026 is proudly supported by the Australian Boarding Schools Association and will be featured on The Educator's website in November.
